Hello, Curious Mind!
Welcome! This is a space where I hope to make learning —and sharing— joyful, especially when it comes to tinkering with technology, science, and math. Over the past three decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of wireless communications, computer networking, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. Recently, I decided to spend more time diving deeper into technologies I already know, exploring areas I’ve long wanted to understand better, and discovering new tools and ideas —from solving math problems (in impractical ways!) to small hardware projects— that can help anyone sharpen their skills.
I have decided to share what I am doing with others to inspire some so that they will join to share their learnings with me. I am a true believer of lifelong learning and every day I realize how much is out there to learn about. My ambition is to understand certain topics at a deeper level so that I can turn and possibly teach it to someone else along with my mistakes, failings.
I (plan to) write my learning experiences in longer than essential format. This is not a place for authoritative tutorials or reference materials, etc. The web is already full of those, and I enjoy finding and learning from them. Instead, here I aspire to include a different perspective on how multiple disciplines can be (f)used together to build something that may not be obvious to everyone. Sometimes it might lead to impractical but still insightful integrations.
Another essential point is I plan to include some artifact with every blog usually in the form of a git repository. All the code I plan to share will be CC0 1.0 license. Anyone can grab any part of it and use it as they wish. That means the code works as documented in the blog or the repo README but is not built for adversity. Use it at your own discretion.
Obviously, life is not only technology, math and science. In my case, within the last few years, I have taken a salsa class thanks to my lovely wife, I have attended a couple of rowing classes with local clubs near Seattle, WA. I have also been an estudiante apasionado of Spanish for some time. Those ambitions and others are for other blogs or pages to share.
About the name: Cornucopia is a wonderful word that describes abundance very well. If you are curious (no pun intended), check out its etymology. You will learn a thing or two about Zeus, his caretaker and a Thanksgiving symbol.
Let there always be an abundance of curiosity.
